Oh no.... not the diet again!!!!!!!

Oh yea, the doc said the dreaded words to me again. I am to stick to his diet and NOTHING else. Ugh. So much for being pregnant and eating what you want when you want it. I mean I havn't done that at all and I don't get to either. I seem to gain weight super easily when I am pregnant. So strict dieting is my life now. I have messed up hormones that doesn't help the situation, so I really do have to be more strict. The really bummer thing is that we were going to go to the beach and for V-Day I told Eric all I wanted was to be taken out to breakfast for waffles, mmmm....they have been sounding so good. Except I can't have waffles now because I am a fatty pregnant woman on a diet again. And if it is cold and rainy then really what fun is it when we can't go get food or anything. This totally ruined our trip to the beach, cuz Eric was counting on some good food at least. So much for that. That would be torture to watch him eat a fatty steak or waffles with maple syrup and all I get is lettuce or one egg, so forget that! I can only gain 10 more pounds during the rest of my pregnancy...that is way less than a pound a week from now on. I have gained too much up to this point. I have eaten out a lot lately, but I thought I was being good still. We went to elephant bar the other night, but I got a salad and didn't even put the dressing on it and I picked out most of the candied walnuts to cut some calories. I have been to Camilles and got half a turkey sandwich and salad with light dressing. I went to CPK last night and had a salad and only used a tiny bit of dressing (it did have the tortilla strips in it though). Where have I gone SO wrong! It seems everywhere I go I am trying to make healthy food choices. I cook healthy at home. I just don't get it!!!! So back onto my starvation diet, seriously, it feels like I am starving on it. This has definetely been the HARDEST thing about pregnancy, the weight gain! I don't think I will ever get use to the thought of gaining so much weight and then being slapped on the wrist for it. I think my doctor thinks I eat junk food and fast food all the time or something and that is not the case at all. Oh well the less I gain now, the less I have to lose later.

Since I am complaining already...I might as well keep going....I have been waking up with leg cramps, a charlie horse. It is a lovely way to be woken up. I use to get them when I was a swimmer, but havn't experienced them since then. I have been getting them a lot lately, doctor says it is normal. My lower back has been hurting too, but what pregnant woman doesn't get back pain. And the worst is my tail bone. It feels bruised all the time. Once again he said it was normal. So basically I have the same complaints as everyone else he sees.

Carson's heartbeat was also normal, which was the first "normal" I was really excited about! I feel him moving a lot and I love it!!!! Can't wait to meet our little man! Until then I will be crying about my diet! haha. I will dream about these....with lots of syrup and berries!

Okay, I'm truly not understanding your doctor. You are tiny in your pics...I mean, you have a pregnant belly, but that's because there is a life growing inside of you! I think you look fabulous! I say, eat healthy, but don't deprive yourself. What is he going to do, drop you as a patient? :)

((HUGS)) and good luck! :)

i got incredibly painful charlie horses almost every night. I would start sweating they hurt so bad and i would totally cry out and wake up my hubby...

someone told me eat bananas right before bed, and oddly, it seemed to help! :)

I think your doctor is a quack! 10lbs? You are barely showing. Most women gain 50-60 lbs and its not a big deal. Just stick to what you feel is best, only you know whats best for you. Hang in there though, you're doing great and you only have a few months to go! :)

LOL! He's so old school. I just ignored his lecturing and you eat WAY healthier than I did (or currently do). I dropped all my pregnancy weight within 3 weeks of giving birth. EAT YOUR WAFFLES and STEAK and anything else your little heart desires. If he were a pregnant woman, he would understand :)
