It never ends...
And the work continues on Carson's room...here is his seat cushion covered in super cute cow print fabric. It is so soft and it is washable! My mom and her friend made it last week. It looks so good!
My mom also made the valance out of the wood looking fabric. I love that it looks like a plank of wood, it is so boyish.
We also had crown molding put up by some friends of our family. They did a great job, especially because we have 2 rounded corners that were tricky. I think the molding makes the room look more fresh and clean. It just finished it off really nice. Nine months is a long time to think about things to do to his room, I am surprised I am holding back so much really. haha. I am not the only one way into this though, Eric has had an opinion too, he is so excited and especially being a boy he is totally into getting his room all done and making sure it is 100% boy! I am just glad he let me do something other than sports because I know it will probably be sports soon enough so I was glad to have something different for a while at least. The next big thing is obviously the crib and dresser which we have looked a few times for, but I never seem to find anything I love for his room. It seems when I find a crib I like-the matching dresser is just too darn big for the room. Or the crib is so giant that it would take up the whole room itself. I don't know if anyone else has noticed how big cribs are now! Geez, you would have to have a really big room to have one of these giant cribs, plus all the other furniture. I really want a more simple style crib, most of them are really bulky and they are more solid and you can't even see the cute bumper that goes around the railing. I love the look of the Jenny Lind style cribs (they are more simple) , but they all have the matching open changing table and I want a dresser with drawers and I havn't found one that I could match a dresser with that even comes close. Then I found a set online that I love, but it is a little pricey, but looks really nice. This is more complicated than I thought it would be. I am not overly concerned with it making into a toddler bed or full size bed just because it will hopefully be a crib for a while and toddler beds are cheap so I am not worried about that. I want to love the crib though because however many kids we have, they will all sleep in it and so it will be around a while. So that is the next thing on the list, it is just proving to be harder than we thought. So that is the newest on the room situation. It is a long, but really fun process!

We found ours at JcPenny's..of course I haven't looked at cribs in years so I have no clue what they look like now LOL!!
I love the crown molding, looks very nice!!
The room is coming along! Your friends did a great job on the crown molding...I'm with you, it adds a lot to a room. It takes me forever to pick out furniture, because it's such a huge investment. Take your time...you'll find the right one. :)
Love the pics...thanks for sharing!

Hi Emily,
I was just wondering where did you get the crown molding from? My friend was looking at your blog and loves the molding and she doesen't have a blog so I said I would ask you. Any help you could give would be great.
